OPTICIAN

We are looking for an energetic Optician who is reliable, experienced with lab duties as well as sales, has great phone etiquette, and has excellent in person communication skills. The ideal new team member of our friendly and caring staff would be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and personable to join our privately owned growing practice.

FULL TIME POSITION Monday-Friday (NO WEEKENDS!!)

Salary Pay $18-23/hr + bonuses, Based on Experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

-Cutting and Edging of all lens types (SV, BIFOCAL, PROGRESSIVE) *Required Experience

-Familiar with Lens Materials, Lens Options and Add-ons

-Frame and lens styling, adjusting and dispensing glasses, ability to perform various repairs (screw, filament cord, temple replacement, etc.)

-Dispense glasses orders and perform any needed adjustments for patients

-Ability to accurately read prescription of lenses using manual lensometer

-Verify and check in Outside Lab orders

-Ordering of Frame and Lenses

-Maintain Inventory of Frames

-Notify Patients of Orders ready to be picked up

-Collect appropriate copays and out of pocket expenses for glasses purchases

- Ability to communicate with and properly handle patients' issues with their glasses purchase if needed.

- Knowledge of various vision plans such as VSP, EyeMed and Superior is preferred

- Ordering patient products including frames, lenses, sunglasses, and more
